Projekt Bambusové školy pro Nepál vznikl v polovině roku 2009 jako soutěžní návrh do mezinárodní architektonické soutěže o nový design třídy pořádané organizací Architecture for Humanity, které se zúčastnilo více než 400 architektonických týmů z celého světa. Návrh Bambusové školy skončil ve finále mezi osmi nejlepšími projekty. V současné době projekt zaštiťuje sdružení Namasté Nepál o.s., které má zkušenosti s výstavbou škol v oblasti Kavré v Nepálu, pro níž je Bambusová škola navržena.

Bamboo School for Nepal was designed in the middle of 2009 as an entry fo an international competition "New Classroom Design" by Architecture for Humanity, where more than 400 teams from around the world participated. Our proposal made it up to finalists. At the moment the project is governed by Namasté Nepál, an NGO experienced in building schools in Kavre, Nepal, where the future school will be located.
